Several of our Young Marines participated in the Extreme Weather Tucannon Encampment, near Dayton, Washington. We've been there before, but usually in June or July. We were hoping for a few feet of snow, ice, sleet...well, let's just say mother nature had other ideas. Instead of "extreme", we ended up with spring weather conditions. Nonetheless, our Young Marines took this opportunity to learn how to prepare their own meals, start and maintain campfires, and do the wonderful clean-up duties that go along with camping.
