Just when you think our Young Marines have done just about everything, Community Service wise, we just added something new to our list. Our Unit was honored to help recover rubber ducks at the annual Mid Columbia Duck Race on Saturday, October 13, 2007. Now our Young Marines are experienced in the art of recovering 40,000 rubber ducks from the Columbia River!! They have also mastered the art of deflating a giant yellow duck..the mascot of the Mid Columbia Duck Race.
Thank goodness we had some sunshine today and our warm Tri-City Young Marine sweatshirts, because there was definitely a Fall chill in the air. Perfect weather for ducks! Our Young Marines worked hard and had some fun times too. OORAH YOUNG MARINES!!
